Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. The music she grew up with was classic, old boleros as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing from an early age, along with her mother. She was given more formal vocal training at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. After moving from Mexico to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties, performing traditional Latin American Music. As an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for art and music has her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at The Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially in the younger generations, for keeping this music in the present.
