MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international advancements into Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available through La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. In the following year, he was a part of Ozuna to record his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the years following. In 2021 he recorded an duet with TINI's popular song Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the hit single La Bachata. Turizo has a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In his interviews, Turizo has said that music is essential. In his early years, he learned to play the saxophone and as well as piano and ukulele. The first choice for his career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he realized his talent for singing and changed the course his life.
